The Cornwall Classic 2014 attracted 71 wave windsurfers. The fourth and last stop of the BWA Championship was run in light winds and small waves on the first day and better conditions on the final day.

In the Pro division, Ben Proffitt was looking forward to stealing the Championship title, but Phil Horrocks took the top honours with solid scoring waves, in the single elimination.

His brother David was in second place for a short period, until he suffered a broken mast and had to settle with fourth.

"Yes! Another year of tough competition over and Cornwall once again has been kind to me! Side shore 4.7 and head high waves was pretty fun to compete in. It's never perfect conditions, but I really enjoyed the day," underlined Horrocks.

"My gear was working great, the Gaastra Manic 5.0 and Pocket 78 proving to be a potent combo. Great to finish the year with a win against some tough contenders. It went down to the wire, and any one of us could have won it at the last event."
