The third day of competition saw 20-35 knots blowing through the artificial channel built in Luderitz. Fortunately, wind was more stable and hitting the speedway in a shallower angle.

Andrew Redfern has improved his own Fijian record set on the first day. Helped and coached by Anders Bringdal, Farrel O'Shea and Sébastien Cattelan, the windsurfer reached 40.87 knots.

With the channel has been pumped to increase the water level, Roger Ornvang, from Sweden, kept pushing his limits until clocking at 43.19 knots, to break his own record from last year.

Meanwhile, Erik Beale is testing board prototypes that combine windsurfing and kitesurfing by adding a cavity fin. Andrea Baldini, Hennie Bredenkamp, Alain de Gendt, Franz Grabner and Martin Toth fine-tuned their gear for the upcoming windy conditions.
