Since the turn of the year Cape Town has been a tale of two halves. For January and the first week of February we saw plenty of wind and waves filling the days with plenty of time on the water. In January I went home for a family funeral, as much as it isn’t a nice thing to head home for it was nice to catch up with the family and also to take a break and spend some time in England. It coincided with some seriously cold snowy weather too which was nice to see and made the trip back home all the more memorable.
Snowy UKOnce back in Cape Town it was straight back to business as usual with plenty of time on the water.
Haagkat AirBumpy HaagkatIt’s been a bit of a mixture with riding and jumping over the last couple of months but, as it seems to increasingly be with Cape Town seasons, a lot more riding days going on. Not that I should complain but after a day of jumping you want to go straight into the 2nd and picking up where you left off, often frustratingly though is a week or two before another jumping day comes along. When you do get a good day here you can definitely go big.

I’ve just come back from a trip to Elands on a pretty good swell. We ended up sailing til dark and staying the night to make the most of the windsurfing whilst there. I’m hoping to stick together a video of the trip so hopefully that will be my next post. Thanks for reading.
