Exeter University Windriders is a windsurfing club growing from strength to strength. Dan Lytton heads up the show, and has thrown so much energy into revamping the club, membership has doubled in just a year.
Thanks to the support of the University of Exeter Annual Fund Committee the club has purchased bags of new windsurfing equipment which we are delighted to have been able to supply and get more people into this amazing sport!
“ The aim of the club is to offer good intermediate kit for any windsurfers that have progressed from the Sport Devon programme. The kit was a little tired before, so with extra help from Tushingham and Starboard we have a range of Freeride boards to let our club members improve carves gybes, freestyle and entry wave sailing” says Dan.
The club has its own trailer that travels to various spots depending on conditions, but the main base is in Exmouth. John Morgan of Liquid Motion is helping store equipment and support all the students in providing a safe environment to windsurf.
There is an active facebook community and if you wish to join in the fun please contact Dan: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
