The Danish Racing Series was a great success at the 3rd event of the year. The Danish JP/NeilPryde team rider Sebastian Kornum DEN-24 was attending and still nobody could beat him in any formula race. In perfect conditions for formula on day 1, Sebastian won all 4 formula races. He has now won each of the 12 formula races of the Danish Racing Series so far:
“I have never felt as confident on a racing course as right now. My equipment is perfect for the course, and it allows me to handle really difficult situations out there without putting too much effort into it or getting tired. This year I am always ready for another race!”
Another Young NeilPryde/JP team rider, Christian Justesen, was battling for the podium position and finished 3rd!
On the 2nd race day the wind was gusting up to 40 knots onshore making it really challenging for all competitors. The slalom flag was up and the race crew even had a hard time setting the course in the rough conditions. Sebastian Kornum was using his JP Slalom 56 and NeilPryde EVO5 6,4 through all races and finished 3rd. Sebastian:
“It’s been many years since I have enjoyed slalom races as much as I did at this event. It was extreme and thrilling going full speed towards the first buoy. A feeling I have missed for a long time, and I look forward to more high wind slalom races in future.”
Also attending the event were 3 Norwegian racers and German IFCA Slalom World Champion.
CONGRATULATIONS Sebastian and Christian!
…next competition for Sebastian is the Formula Worlds in Croatia. He won the light weight title in the 2012 Formula Worlds in Latvia.
