It recently has been announced that Starboard team rider Raimondo Gasperini will attend the first PWA World Tour Freestyle event of 2013 in Podersdorf, Austria. The Italian team rider and windsurfing coach will be coming back to the event after 3 years of absence in the competition.

After reaching 3rd place in 2009 behind Nicolas Akgazciyan and Tonky Frans, Raimondo Gasperini will be making a comeback to challenge the younger guys like Taty Frans or Kiri Thode in a discipline where the average age drops every day. Here's what Ray had to say about it:

"Being invited and receiving a wild card for the PWA event in Podersdorf excites me a lot. For 15 years now I have missed very few events and the Austrian lake which is so famous for its unpredictable conditions, is like a second home for me. Being part of that movement is a recognition that goes beyond the results achieved in my career and pushes me to continue with even more strength and dedication to my work for this wonderful sport."
