PWA World Cup Alacati 2012 – Day 3

Home » Featured, Featured - Race, Race

The third day of the PWA World Cup Alacati saw two more eliminations completed. In the morning the wind was too onshore and very, very gusty (10-30 knots), which forced the riders to stay on the beach and to wait for better conditions.

Antoine Albeau is still leading the men´s ranking, although he did not pass the first round in race 4, because he crashed a jibe. Overall in second is Ben van der Steen only 0,3 points behind but 10,3 points in front of Micah Buzianis and Björn Dunkerbeck. On the 5th place is Peter Volwater, who won the 4th race with a solid performance.

In the women´s division Karin Jaggi and Sarah-Quita Offringa won the races today. With two victories and one second, Karin Jaggi has already a comfortable lead in the overall ranking.
