Day 6: A Fickle Ponta Preta Presents Moments of Opportunity as Double Elimination Begins

The sailors met early on Day 6 of the 2022 SOMWR 10x Cabo Verde PWA World Cup, but it would take a few hours before contestable sets would start to show their face in Ponta Preta. With inconsistencies in the swell, the sailors were given long heats again - 40-45 minutes - in order to show what they are capable of in tricky conditions.

With set waves typically in the shoulder to head high range that meant that the sailors head to show no fear in heading towards the rocks in order to earn their best scores as Ponta Preta showed its fickleness.
