If you only watch one foil race this year, make sure its this one. Possibly the best Foil race to date, not to be missed.

The wind teased the riders and the crew all day but unfortunately didn´t quite provide enough to continue on with the single elimination. Nevertheless, no wind, no problem, a tow-in show took centre stage to entertain the spectators.

With little to no wind on Day two of competition here in Sardinia we put head judge Tom Hartmann and multiple EFPT Champion and World Title holder Steven Van Broeckhoven in the hot seat for a 'let's get serious' Q'n'A special.

Action from the early rounds of competition as the competitors open up their repotoire to suit the changing conditions. Rossel Bertoldo impressed many with a high heat score against Tonky Frans, but it was Frans's day as he held off the Italian and found himself in the quarter finals with the likes of Steven Van Broeckhoven, Antony Ruenes, Julian Wiemar, Loïck Spicher, Riccardo Marca, Giovanni Passani and Mattia Fabrizi. The third day of the Mercedes-Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt was a sunny day full of slalom action. The eliminations with one winner: Marco Lang!

Although better know for his commentary skills... Roberto Hofmann has spent the last couple of years focusing on speed sailing... and has goals of joining the 50knot club. So with all the members of the 50knot club doing it here in Luderitz it makes sense he has made the journey. We caught up with him yesterday to have a chat!
