Dieter Van der Eyken (Severne / Severne Sails) recorded his best result to date on the PWA Wave World Tour in Pozo Izquierdo earlier this year - 4th - but those highs were quickly replaced by lows at the Belgian suffered a foot injury which threatened to cut his season short. The 32-year-old managed to recover just in time for his home event in Tenerife where he finished joint 9th, while he replicated that result in Sylt to finish the season ranked 16th overall.
