The PRINCE OF SPEED event is on: La Palme, 3 June – 1. July.

Jacques reports:“Vincent Valkenaers and me competed Monday 10. June at the Prince of Speed at La Franqui. We finished of the first 2 places in windsurf cathegorie.

Vincent almost beat the kiter Rob Douglas – the difference on the 500 meter run was only 0,03 between him and Rob. This is a big achievement as the top kitesurfers are most of the time 2 to 3 knots faster then the windsurfers.

The 500 meter of 46,93 is the fastest video timed 500 meter ever sailed by a windsurfer on open water (not on a canal).”

So currently, the 2 JP riders lead the rankings…
