As we´re gearing up for an exciting season ahead we´re happy to announce the addition of the Danish racer Kurosh Kiani. Kurosh is one of the iconic riders on the windsurfing stage known for his friendly attitude and smile. He will be representing Severne out on the race course in the slalom and foiling disciplines on the PWA world tour and other selected events around the world.
We caught up with Kurosh for a couple of questions about his decisions to join our brand and what his plans are for the upcoming season:
Welcome to the Severne Brand, What has been the first impression of the sails on the water?Well my first impression was when I received the sails and lifted up one of the sail bags. I couldn´t believe how light they were. And on my first session on the water, I stayed out sailing for nearly 3 hours! Something I couldn´t do before. The ease of handling and the light feeling of the gear is just incredible!
You are located in Lanzarote but are sailing for the Denmark, will you still be organising events there and outside of the canaries besides competing?Definitely. I will always be looking to share my knowledge and experiences of windsurfing with as many people as possible, be it in Denmark or Canary islands. I have more fun stuff planned, and will send out info when all is in place :)
What is your goal for 2019 and the reason to make the switch to Severne? My switch to Severne was very deliberate. I knew it was the brand I wanted to join from the beginning when I started to look for a change in sail brand. It was pretty much all or nothing. Either I would join Severne or I would look for a new path.My goal is to bring myself back to a position where I can perform at my peak. It starts with this gear change, and with the Severne gear, I know that I´ve got the tools it takes to make this happen. The performance oriented, technical mentality of Severne fits me 100%. I cant wait to be a part of it, and to have the sails in my hands on the race course!
