For the third time now the organisers of the Boat Show in Düsseldorf/Germany (the world’s largest water sports fair), have orginised the City Wave to do a SUP Wave contest on it. In cooperation with the  Superflavor they invited some of the the best Stand Up Paddlers nationally and internationally like Airton Cozzolino, Zane Schweitzer, Fiona Wylde, Paulina Herpel, Christian Andersen to define the SUP Indoor SUP Masters and/or the Shorttrack Race Masters in the pool.

For Fanatic Airton Cozzolino, Paulina Herpel, Kai Steimer, Steven Bredow and Valentin Illichmann competed in the Wave contest. Airton experienced a small shock from the cold temperatures when he arrived and also suffered from a bit of a cold/flu, but still managed to put on a great show including Wave 360´s and Pop-Shuvits. While the others have regular practice on Munich´s Eisbach wave or several Indoor Waves,  Airton has to get used to the wave again first, as he did not ride it since two years (last year he injured his foot during training). But already after the second run he was feeling home again: -)  Airton finished 1st in front of Zane Schweitzer and Paulina finished 2nd behind Fiona Wylde. Also great show from the rest of the team – you guys roocked!

On Sunday there was also a Short Track Race in the pool where Polarbear Christian Andersen could clearly dominate the race! He finished 1st in front of Zane Schweitzer and Ole Schwartz – clearly focussed and without any mistakes! Paulina finished 2nd here behind Fiony Wylde as well.

Well done to all the team, also great job to Valentin Illichmann, Kai Steimer, Steven Bredow and our German team at the Fanatic stand (including J SUP) – thxs for all!
