With an end time of 24 minutes and 13 seconds, he stayed a bit above 20 seconds in front of Patrick Diethelm and more than 2 minutes in front of young & upcoming talent Bastian Escofet who claims his first Lancelin Ocean Classic Podium at the age of 19.

Comment Matteo:

“It’s my first time in Australia and it has been my first ever LOC. I really enjoyed the race and the race and the vibes on the beach. The event is great and the locating is perfect for a long distance. The race was fun with a great fight against Patrick in the middle of the ocean. It’s great to see an event like this and I believe the windsurfing world needs more events similar to this that bring a lot of people together that enjoy a good day of windsurfing together. I’ll come back for sure.”

After a night in the pub, the course of Matteo was set further North to enjoy some of Australia’s finest waves after another great start to the season.
