Here is the report and summary from Sebastian Kornum DEN-24, the new crowned European Hydrofoil Champion:

“I am so happy to have won the European Championship in Foil Open, and especially happy to keep the good momentum going after winning the German Championship not long ago.I felt the same confidence on the racing course in Poland like in Germany and my gear was really fast!

The championship was held in Sopot. It was my first time there, so I didn’t really know what kind of circumstances we would be racing in:Conditions were tactical and we had everything from 6 to 20 knots of wind.Always very fast on the downwind tracks, I was able to take the lead in most races and control it with safe tactical decisions.Only very few mistakes throughout the event happened to me which is really good after 13 races in difficult conditions.I also feel physically fit for racing and I don’t get too tired during the day. Mountain biking as a preparation has helped me a lot and I will continue this training when I am in Denmark.

Big thanks to Sopot Yacht Club for hosting the Championshipand shout out to my sponsors for supporting me all the way!”
