Oxford Zoomers win T15 Champions Cup

The Zoomers, whose home base is at Oxford Sailing Club on Farmoor Reservoir, saw off 15 other teams from all over the UK to take the Cup.

The event was part of the UKWA National Windsurfing Championships held at Rutland Water SC on the weekend of 15 and 16 September.

The young teams of under-16s, totalling 130 competitors, completed eight races in the five windsurfing classes: 3.5m, 4.5m, 5.8m, 6.8m and 7.8m.  The 13-strong Oxford Zoomers team racked up enough points to put them ahead of runners up the Academy Allstars and the North Lincs Invaders who took third on the podium.

T15 is a nationwide network of windsurfing clubs where young people up to the age of 16 can learn new windsurfing skills and progress to competition level.  There is a regional programme of Interclub challenges. Find out more about getting involved in T15.
