Windwise heads west to Daymer and Gwithian for our annual Freewave sessions

Gastro Pub, BBQ's, Doombar Beer, fabulous local wine and as ever all the Windwise Skills & Drills and 1-2-1 feedback to maximise your progression and get the most out of the local beaches. 

Yes, it's that time of year where we make base camp in the West Country, first at Daymer and then Gwithian. We try to sail locally, choosing the best tides and visiting the best local beaches to suit the wind, waves and everyone's ability and ambitions.

It's a real highlight of our year and one that fill up the quickest! (Already filling up for 2019!!!) We focus on windsurfing and seek to develop both Freeride & Freewave skills, plus add in various on and off water adventures. 

Daymer Bay 

One of THE most beautiful places to windsurf in the world. Stunning surroundings and usually a mix of flat water, a point break off the beach and also the infamous Doombar - which is even more powerful than the beer! You need to fully understand and respect the tides in Daymer - which is what we help you with. If you get it right you can have amazing upwind downwinders with tide assisted blasting. We often journey up to Rock on an incoming tide for 'executive' coffee in the Blue Tomato cafe and then whizz back on the out going tide to Daymer. Skills, drills and and adventure all in one go!

This year we had a mix of blasting on 3 days and loads of skills on the lighter day. Great trip, wonderful socials and amazing food!Thanks as ever to everyone who joined us in Daymer and look forward to seeing you next year!
