Here is what our heroes had to say:

Amado Vrieswijk NB-20 – Foil #1“After missing out on the foil-podium by 0.7 points in Korea, I was really focused in now Spain. The event came with big ups and downs, but I really feel comfortable on my JP HydroFoil board together with the Severne Hyperglide and the Starboard foil. It’s a perfect set for me and it showed. I like foiling, it’s fun and exciting to find the right course. After the really good start in the first 4 eliminations, I had some incidents on the water: At one stage I broke my foil and needed to hurry to fix my kit in time for the next elimination, but with the help of Finian Maynard, it all turned out fine. The pressure was on until the last minute of the event as I lost my overall lead, but I regained it at the very last elimination! My first ever PWA racing podium !!!”

Pascal Toselli FRA-961 – Slalom #2“The Costa Brava event has just ended and I am very happy to finish 2nd in the third event of the year. Unfortunately, we only had good conditions for one slalom elimination.Costa Brava is a risky event for slalom because we know that there may be very few valid races and the slightest mistake can be expensive.I tried to be in the game in the first round! I know it’s only one race but I’m super happy with this result and motivated for the rest of the season!”

Julien Bontemps FRA-6 – Foil #3“I’m so happy !We completed 11 Foil eliminations in Costa Brava. That’s really a lot compared to what we did in Japan and Korea. I’m stoked I managed to win two of these eliminations. I also really like the equipment: and 2 JP boards on the podium means that it is a good one for sure. The races were really intense, especially the last day of racing! For me, the points were really close with Antoine Albeau and Nicolas Goyard but I managed to handle the pressure – which I enjoyed a lot! I sailed well, my speed was really good and finally I got my first podium on the PWA tour, crazy !!!”
