Bronze Frenchman Pierre Mortefon cements his place in the BIG 3The fastest #WarpBoy in our North Sails Slalom Team, Pierre Mortefon, approves one more time that he deserves his place in the TOP 3 of the current overall Slalom ranking. The conditions at the VIANA PWA World Cup in Portugal had been opposite to the prior event in Spain: strong winds up to 45 knots, choppy water and even proper waves. The PWA even sees an apparent potential for wave sailing. Hardcore Slalom – that’s where the best and fastest can show what they are really made of: Pierre‘s counting results (2nd, 5th, 4th, 4th, 3rd) let him step up on the podium on a well deserved third place. Looking closer at the point scales of the event in Portugal, you notice a great gap of 13 points to Quentel on 4th.For the overall ranking after 4 events he remains 3rd as well. The next stop of the PWA slalom tour will be Fuerteventura. Last year Pierre became 4th here. Fingers crossed for our flying Frenchman to continue his success!Meanwhile his sister Marion Mortefon already recieved the trophy for her third place in the 2018 PWA women’s slalom overall ranking. After three events the season is already finished. Marion sailed on a 3rd place in Japan, 4th in Korea and 4th in Portugal, which ranks her 3rd overall. Chapeau Marion!
Flying Dutchman Jordy Vonk confirmed his great form this season with a 9th place in Portugal which puts him into an awesome 6th position overall. Well done Jordy!
The likeable Dutch freestyler Arrianne Aukes finished the Portugal freestyle event on 4th. It was the first women only freestyle event on the PWA tour.
