The Defi Wind of Gruissan is probably the most famous of all windsurf events and one that attracts windsurfers from around the world to complete in a ‘mega blast’ race in the most perfect setting! This year its happening between 10th to 13th May 2018.

If there is an event to attend when you’re a windsurfer, it’s definitely the Defi Wind of Gruissan. Every year, riders from all over the world gather in Gruissan to share their passion and find themselves on the same starting line facing the challenge of the awesome marathon race against the famous Tramontana Wind. After two years without an official race, the 2018 edition promises to be potentially exceptional. The feelings and emotions of a real Défi Wind are far away and it will make the party even more beautiful if the Tramontane plays the game!

A word from the evetn organisers… “From may 10th to 13th 2018, 1,400 windsurfers will cross the very same starting line in front of Gruissan and ride all together on the same marathon course with roaring offshore Tramontana. More than a race, the Défi Wind is a challenge. A real challenge. Every single windsurfers who has ever attend the event could confirm: it’s a once in a lifetime experience.
