Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / NorthSails / MFC / Shamal Sunglasses) produced a title winning season for the second time in his career in 2016 as he fought off the challenge of Alex Mussolini (RRD / RRD Sails). 

The Spaniard opened the season in phenomenal form — firstly defeating three-time world champion Philip Koester (Starboard / Severne / Maui Ultra Fins) on his home turf in Pozo, before fighting back in Tenerife to dethrone Marcilio Browne (Goya Windsurfing / MFC) and maintain his 100% record in 2016, which put him on track to add to his sole world crown from 2010.
