“I have had this paddle for 4 months now … the weight is excellent for a 3 piece. It feels light to swing. The hexagonal join for the blade/shaft is brilliant. It is firm and strong -the best I have seen . It certainly doesnt feel like a 3 piece. The adjustable shaft fitted well and has a good range of adjustment. This paddle has a beautiful feel in the water. No “swooshing” sound and a really nice power phase. It’s breakdown length. It is 34.5″ at the longest so it fits comfortably in my Red Paddle Co. bag. even when the paddle is in the padded bag) Many 3 piece paddles have a much longer breakdown length which makes it a very tight fit. Although I have purchased this paddle for the inflatable I find that I am using it more and more with my hardboards as well. Overall, this paddle punches way above it’s price.
