British Slalom Association Rd 3 Harwich

Severne UK Team riders travelled across the country last weekend to meet up for the British Slalom Association Round 3 at Harwich (Dovercourt Beach).

Although the sun came out on Saturday the wind sadly never really picked with just the Master-blaster fleet taking to the water for a couple rounds of racing. Sunday started sunny but with very light winds, mid morning the wind started to pick up sufficiently to allow the Pro and Amateur Fleets to take the water and start racing.

The first Pro round saw Severne take 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the winners final, subsequent rounds saw a similar story with James Dinsmore and Leigh Kingaby finishing in the top three for the other 2 counting rounds. Pro Fleet results, 1st James Dinsmore, 2nd Leigh Kingaby, 3rd Kevin Greenslade.

We must congratulate Team rider Scott Stallman who not only finished 1st Junior (U17) but an amazing 4th overall, not bad for our 14year old Team rider in his first season in the Pro fleet!

The Amateur fleet was dominated by team rider Ian Robbo Roberts taking the top podium position with an impeccable display of sailing.

Congratulations to all the Team riders and all the sailors at the event, we also wish James and Leigh all the very best of luck as they headed off early this morning to compete in the Worlds at Bol in Croatia, we look forward to plenty updates!!
