First Week

First week of 2016 couldn’t have been better, I’ve been speed sailing at Southend and windsurfing and kitesurfing and every move captured by GPS. Speed sailing has been the biggest user of GPS for a long time now, www.gps-speedsurfing.com hosts the world rankings for windsurfing but I’m expecting a new gadget could change the way we play with all our sports.

The Xensr is a small GPS that sits on your board and records its every movement, there’s more graphical information coming in the next weeks but for now I’ve used it to measure height, hang-time, impact as well as the number of jumps. Was really surprised how many jumps we do in an hour, nearly one a minute, though having seen what possible I can see me taking the Xensr out with me on every session.
