A cold January sail at Wells

A few of use headed to Wells for a sail on a forecast that turned out not to live up to expectation which was a little disappointing but it was good to get out.

I decided on my 106L and a 6.5 Gator to find I was well powered up on the outside.

It turned into a fun day for most of use in the swell and very un-predictable waves on the bar.

The conditions resulted in some casualties with a broken out hall in the main channel, a ripped sail and a board that also lost its fin by hitting a sand bar –these are the days you wish you have had your camera ! Oh well, next time!
