Can it get any better? 2015 has to the most successful EFPT season for JP ever:
4 JP riders finished in the top 5 !And Amado Vrieswijk NB-20 is the new-crowned Champion !
1st – AMADO VRIESWIJK NB-20“Although I already started to compete in the PWA in 2011, my first EFPT event was only last year in Podersdorf , April 2014. To gain as much as possible competition experience I participated in several EFPT-events last year and ended in a 5th position overall and became EFPT Rooky 2014. This year I participated in all events across Europe except the first one in Greece due to my school-exams in May.My first event in July on Lanzarote was the best. Perfect wind, good battles and a 3rd place.Croatia was beautiful but unfortunately we had no wind and DAM-X was cold but fantastic right until the last moment of the event. My first ever EFPT event victory!!! It felt great. On my way to France 2 weeks ago, I realized that the European Title was in reach and went for it. It was my second visit in Six Fours les Plages and we again experienced a great event. It was a good battle and the 3rd place behind Adrien Bosson in second and JP-team-mate Steven van Broeckhoven in first place was enough to win the European Freestyle title 2015. A great moment and a perfect closure of a fantastic Freestyle season.I am very grateful to be part of the JP-team !!Cheers,Amado VrieswijkNB-20”———-Amado published more thoughts about the season so far on his Amado’s pageand he also published a short video summary on Amado Vrieswijk NB-20 Eurotrip 2015
Big airtime for Steven.
2nd – STEVEN VAN BROECKHOVEN B-72This was not the luckiest of years for Steven: He returned from his winter training in better shape than ever before and with a new secret move in his bag – the Shifty. B-72 proved his great shape by winning the first PWA tour stop. Then, while preparing in Egypt -out of nowhere- a bone fracture! Bummer! And what a drawback which looked like it had ended his whole season. But Steven van Broeckhoven managed to recover in the shortest time possible: He worked out hard during all the time he had his plaster and afterwards immediately was back on the water. So, he didn’t miss too many of the windy events. By winning the final event in Six Fours les Plages, Brutal beach, France, van Broeckhoven was able to claim the second place in the overall ranking. What a great comeback towards the end of the season!
The Yentel twist.
4th – YENTEL CAERS B-16His training with team mate Steven last winter payed off! Yentel’s performance was a big surprise this season: In all international races he was able to impress judges and consistently finished amongst the top 10, well rather top 5! An astonishing 1st season on JP boards for B-16!
Rotating Julien.
5th – JULIEN MAS F-9This was also a stunning year for Julien! He had excellent results throughout the year and his performance regularly put him in the focus of the camera men.Julien also was extremely successful in the tow-in freestyle discipline, often scoring more points than the elite PWA freestyle pros or finishing with the highest score of the day.Julien posted on Facebook:“Super happy to win 4 heats in a row on European Freestyle Pro Tour double elimination in Six Fours les Plages today ! What a great weekend, I finished 4th today and 5 th of the overall year ranking!”
Crowd-pleasing Sam.
16th – SAM ESTEVE F-79The Young Gun made a big impact on the freestyle scene. Only 17 years young, this rider from the south of France joined the JP team just this year and immediately started to share photos and videos on his new JP and NeilPryde gear. He incurred some effort to make it to several EFPT events and was awarded with some great results. Just before the final event in Six Fours Sam turned 18 and scored a top-10 result (9th) and a 16th in the annual EFPT overall ranking.
