So as you all should know by now with our social media posts and others media exposure, we are currently at the National Watersports Festival at Hayling Island with the biggest Severne, RRD and Fanatic windsurf and SuP stand ever. Today we had the pleasure of meeting Ben Greenwood, a young guy about 10 years old who came on with his Dad and Mum wanting to buy one of our used boards. The special thing about Ben is he has a conditional called Juvenile Arthritis which means he is in constant pain and must rest in his wheelchair to ease the condition. It has no cure but yet this guy is totally committed to windsurfing and specifically Freestyle, working currently on his Heletacks. He has windsurfed with his dad for 4 years and say with a conviction we could all learn from ” I will get out windsurfing all the time I can, whatever the pain level”. This young dude saved up his pocket money to buy the board and had taken the trip to the NWF to be a part of Britains biggest and wildest windsurfing event. His all time Hero is Robby Naish.

If this young Gun doesn’t inspire you to push yourself further in windsurfing then you should check yourself…… coz Ben left us happy to sell him the board for £100 less than it owed us (Nikki mis priced it….bless her!) just to see this dedicated young guy loving the sport of windsurfing and people he meets through it.
