The Columbia River Gorge has big conditions during the summer months and many windsurfers from Northern America enjoy to windsurf there. The place is well known for the slogan “Life begins at 40+ knots”. There are countless spots along the river and the current works against the wind, what makes windsurfing even more fun. No upwind sailing is necessary. And you always have land in the background, what makes a safe feeling.
