Why this choise? It’s a pretty much all around wave sail, it works in all the conditions and it has the right power for me!
For sideoff conditions like Cape Verde would you still use this sail?Probably yes, but I would still take a 48 and 51 Swag with me because it’s a fun sail to use!

3batten Swag-4 batten Salt, 4 batten Salt Campello Ltd-5 and Freestyle Slash. Which wave sail you use?Swag
Why this choice?Handy, comfortable and power in front perfect in surf & light wind. This sails feels like a toy, easy and light in hands. Enough power for my weight 75kg and control and comfort on when landing movse.
Which out of the four sails is better for a bottom turn in side on condition or side off conditions?Salt
Which out of the four sails would you choose for European conditions and why?Probably the Spy. It’s a 4×4 for wave sailing.
Which sail would you choose for bump and jump conditions and why?Spy for the power and speed.

The Swag is better for?Side and onshore condition
TheSPY is better for?Overall conditions or conditions light or heavy person looking for power or slalom person who wants to go on waves.
Would you recommend the Slash for wave sailing or only for freestyling?Yes I will recommended because for the real surfer it can work, the profile is fully flat and guy wants no power and handy sails it will be perfect compromise + 100% XPLY or for light guys.
Which from the three wave sail would be the best sail for freestyling?Slash
What do you personally look for in a wave sail when?I am watching first the profile bottom then the overall lift/power because I am lightweight and I don’t need a lot of power. It’s better for me to get a bit power profile in bottom and flat until the top.
Can you:Back loop? yes one-hand until landing + one footPush loop? yes + push loop tweakedForward loop? yes both side + TableDouble loop? yes both side + TableTriple loop? Are you crazy or what!
MACIEK RUTKOWSKI POL-23
3batten Swag-4 batten Salt, 4 batten Salt Campello Ltd-5 and Freestyle Slash. Which wave sail you use?As a heavy guy, I tend to use much bigger sails. So then, I end up powered up most of the times, sort of like in slalom, where the worst thing you can do is take too small gear. However, in waves when you are overpowered it can be hard to land tricks, especially if you are an average jumper and depend on your wave riding as I do. Therefore, I found myself needing something with the most power and control at the same time, things that do not usually bond so well together. They do in the Spy, so that is exactly why I chose it.
For side off conditions like Cape Verde would you still use this sail?Yes, by putting slightly more outhaul the sail gets very neutral in the hands for down the line riding although I would not mind having a few Salts in the bag too!
South Africa, Maui, Western Australia? Which sail would fit the best?South Africa I’d definitely go with the Spy. Maui and West Oz are more of pure side shore locations so I would probably go for a mixed bag between those and the Salts. Don’t get me wrong I really like the Swag too – just can’t have everything can you?
Which out of the 4 sails is better for a bottom turn in side on condition or side off conditions? It really depends on your style and personal preference. The Swag has amazing drive through the bottom turn in side-on conditions, but then the Salt is mega-reactive and you can adjust your line whenever you want too. In addition, with the Spy no matter what happens you can always do your turn even if the conditions are so ugly everybody else already went in.
Which out of the four sails would you choose for European conditions and why?I’d go for the Spy as in Europe you tend to get really gusty winds, current and less-then-perfect waves which require you to have quite a bit of power in your sail to throw a good hack or get good height of a flat ramp
Which sail would you choose for bump and jump conditions and why?The Spy as it is probably the closest to a freeride/slalom feeling and it has an amazing range.
The Salt is better for? The Swag is better for? The Spy is better for?None of them is “better”, there’s just different styles for different guys and depending what your looking for you’ll find it in at least one of them, or maybe all three at the same time too!
Would you recommend the Slash for wave sailing or only for free styling?I wouldn’t personally use it for wave sailing as I already trash a lot of re-enforced sails, so imagine me on a Slash, that has quite a bit less! But if you’re looking for a very light, reactive feeling and you wanna mix up you’re freestyle into your wave riding lines… why not?!
Which from the 3 wave sail would be the best sail for free styling?Probably the Salt as it’s the flattest out of the 3 and apparently that’s key to the new school ducking moves. Not that I can do any, but Nico told me Bottom turning? DriveTop turning? ReactivityJumping? Stability
I can:ForwardBackloopTableForwardCrash a double forward,Gonna leave those triples to Ricky!
