With its low "bullet nose", the biggest of the 2014 Kode Freestyle Wave has a unusual shape for a "Freestyle Wave" board, with bulkier rails and thickness in the tail; inspired by freestyle boards. It's also one of the only boards fitted with a US box instead of a Power box. It's available in three technologies: Technora, Wood and Full Carbon.

On the Water:

Very stable and floaty - as if it was bigger than it actually is - without any unbalance or instability, the Kode Freestyle Wave 103 is very efficient, very light and very lively in its early planing. To accelerate or reach upwind at full speed, the deep single fin definitely is an advantage compared to board with a thruster setup.

Très stable et porteuse, comme si elle taillait plus grand - sans déséquilibre -, la Kode 103 est très efficace, très légère et nerveuse dans le départ au planing. Pour accélérer, serrer le vent en déboulant, l'aileron central profond apporte un plus par rapport aux planches à trois ailerons.

Its other strong points? It has a nice touch on the water and feels very balanced, very comfortable and securing regardless of the conditions while being easy to exploit regardless of skill. It also offers good support and pop for jumping but more importantly, it is able to reach amazing top speeds compared to other freewave boards.

Ses autres points forts? Elle épouse bien le plan d'eau, se montre très équilibrée, très confortable et saine quelles que soient les conditions, tout en restant exploitable avec un minimum d'expérience. On dispose d'un bon appel de saut sur le plat et d'une grosse vitesse de pointe par rapport aux autres freewaves.

In small waves, it works great to get out over the white water without losing speed and come back surfing.

Dans les petites vagues, c'est le top pour passer les mousses sans décélérer et surfer au retour.

In the jibe, the Kode doesn't offer the most natural curve but compensates with an excellent exit, very efficient at keeping speed in the turns..

Dans le jibe, ce n'est pas la courbe la plus saine, mais elle procure un bon maintien de planing, pour ne jamais s'arrêter.
