The wind was a bit light the first days of the event. During the single elimination I was on my 4,7 while in Fuerteventura it's mostly 3,7 conditions. My first heat I was really nervous, and although I advanced I knew I could do better. After sailing some more heats, I got more confident and I finished fourth place in the first double elimination. On the last day of the event the wind was back on, and we started with a new single elimination. I was with my small sail and as I trained a lot this year in strong conditions I felt comfortable and more secure. I advanced my heat against Sveta again and was up against Yoli de Brendt again for the fourth and third place. I had a really good heat and landed a lot of moves, and even although I didn't knew yet if I had won the heat, I was happy with the heat and my performance. And I advanced which meant I became third place in the single elimination. Up for the Double elimination I was facing Yoli de Brendt again. I was not so nervous, only focussed, and landed a really nice funnel and some other moves. I won this heat again, and was up against Laure Treboux for the second place now. Didn't manage to beat her, so finished third place in de second elimination. This result made Yoli de Brendt and me both in third place, as we both won one single and one double elimination. Because of that, we had to do a sail off for the third and fourth place overall this event. After the sail off, on stage, they gave the results and I had won the sail off which meant I became third place overall in the PWA Worlcup in Fuerteventura! Arrianne Aukes H-131www.arrianneaukes.com
