Almost as windy again as the 'Red Bull Storm Chase' weekend a couple of weeks ago (and actually plenty of people out on 3.3s and 3.7s)
Saturday the wind came in late, and barely came in at all, but it did provide super fun and very airielable waves at Mexicos.
Sunday was a different matter! Super windy and cross shore at Gwithian, sometimes just too windy/choppy to even try to bottom turn. Maybe we shoulda gone Mexicos again, but the swell was looking a bit smaller. Loads of fun anyway, if a little blown out and not very throwy. (possibly getting fussy here!)
Very high standard of sailing as usual down there with all the usual rippers. Full gallery from towards the end of the day here on FB..

I was on my little 75 Moo with 16.5 Rocket twin fins, and a 4m Firelight Hot Sails Maui.
Thanks to Jony Price for these pics..
Special mention to Mark Mearden who was on fire! Nice push loop and loads of these high speed full commitment bottom turns on his single fin -he's not even using the one fin he has got!! :)
Top tip for the day. Don't throw away your broken extension, just cut them down and use them for smaller ones. I think if you're using very little extension on your sail, you can actually get away with very little extension up the mast (i.e. if your bust extension is now 20cm, you can probably get away with using it at 10cm ). Kinda obvious, but these mini extensions are super handy and super light!
Looks horribly like there isn't a forecast for the weekend.. someone please tell me it's not true?! I'm sure we can squeeze a sail in somewhere..
And there is a serious bit of swell up top that's very tempting..
