Why Max is so keen to support the event.

“As soon as Allan approached me with this concept for an NWF junior event I was ready to re arrange my calendar to make sure I could be there, developing the youth talent in our sport is so crucial, what Allan told me instantly made me think back to when I was 14-16 years old facing the same issues in windsurfing. I wasn’t particularly interested in racing but I participated in the team 15 until I quickly became too old for that, I was committed enough to carry on but a lot of my friends who did team 15 simply stopped windsurfing once they got to 16-17. With this exciting new event it should expose these kids to wave, freestyle and slalom disciplines that could hopefully keep them windsurfing for years to come.”
