Franz Orsi wins the Portuguese Slalom Championships with his GPS sail, for the second time!

After a long season of hard-fought racing, our team rider and friend from Italy, Franz Orsi, based in Portugal for study and work, was able last weekend to claim the final victory at the 2013 Portuguese Slalom Championships. Franz was able to maintain his lead for most of the events, ending the slalom season at the 1st place with his GPS sails.

“This year was very special for me. This winter I had the opportunity to go to Maui invited by the HSM team to collaborate to R&D of the new slalom sails. It was a good chance for me to tune my weapons before the season, so when I returned to Portugal I was immediately able to feel really in tune with my new GPS sails and start the season with a really good speed. I want to thank Jeff, Kyla, Tom and Chris for the great support they gave me during the whole season and for having greeted me with such incredible warmness in their  ʻohana in Maui.
A big thank goes to Tom then for providing us with these amazing sails that made my racing so much easier during the last two seasons and also for having spent so many hours with me discussing the tune of the new sails as well as so many ideas for the upcoming prototypes. Thank you very much!”
