Andre Paskowski wanted to film the best windsurfing movie of all time. "Below The Surface" aims to be more than just film and a tribute.
The German windsurfer invited Victor Fernandez, Marcilio Browne, Gollito Estredo, Klaas Voget and Alessio Stillrich to ride along in some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
The sailor/filmmaker passed away on the 2nd August 2013, but his legacy will never be erased from the pages of windsurfing history. His long battle against cancer was not lost, and "Below The Surface" proves it.
"Carolina and a few other friends will finish my last film 'Below The Surface'", Paskowski wrote a few hours before leaving the world.
And there you go. The film is ready to be premiered and will join a full collection of windsurfing documentaries by Andre.
"Wet and Salty" (2004), "Flashback" and "Four Dimensions" (2009), "Minds Wide Open" (2011), "Magic Moments" and "Rewarded" (2012) are the windsurfing movies directed by Andre Paskowski.
