Taty Frans about his racing in PWA Costa Brava

After a long week competing at the PWA World cup event in Costa Brava. From the 11th-16th June I finished 32. I had a really bad result this time in slalom. But I have won a lot of experience and this is important.

I had some really nice heats in which I won bigger heavier guys when It was windy but as soon the wind go light I struggle, so my weak point is light wind and strong point is heavy wind. A lesson learn and I know I have to get better at certain things and get my light wind stuff well tuned up. :)

The TR-9 are working better more control compare to the TR-8, even though I feel like there are some small adjustment that will have to be done for the next year sails. I was the whole time on my TR-9 XT 7.6 and 110 Isonic with a Z-fin 41 cm.

My gears are working perfect and I feel that I have such great board speed and I can be in the top, only need to spend more time tuning my gears and get more often on them to make sure that I do good results.

Winning couple of heats was such a great feeling and the only problem that got me a bad results is pushing to much at the start. I can work on that. But I am so eager to have such perfect starts that it cost me races, but once I get that dailed in it will be another results.

Costa Brava deliver tricky conditions and it was easy to lose, that's why the start was a must advantage. Now I really am eager and hungry for Alacati, I will now go back to Bonaire to compete in some local event and the Aruba Hi-Winds then focus fully in freestyle for Fuerteventura.

Get the TR-9 they are amazing fast sails and no doubt the handling of the xt sail on the bigger size is a must.

Barcelona airport, flying blue GOLD so I have priority boarding, nice as the other line was really long, 4 board bag of slalom gears, checked without any discussion 'perfect' VIP to the lane ' great'. KLM lounge relaxing and waiting for the call to board the flight. After such a bad results in costa brava slalom event a relaxing traveling is just what I need :)
