Morgan impresses on his way to the Semi-Finals in Santa Cruz AWT

Hot Sails Maui team rider Morgain Noireaux (18) arrived in California just a few days ago but already his radical jumping and fluid style are impressing the locals, judges and other competitors. With 66 competitors entered into the AWT event at Waddell Creek all brackets are stacked and the 18 strong Pro division looks like a who’s who of windsurfing with rising stars, previous world champions, AWT champions and legends of the sport all battling for the prize fund. Morgan who moved to Hawaii from his native France cruised through the opening rounds with massive backloops and powerful wave riding.

Morgan’s one handed backloop in the quarter finals was one of the highest scoring moves of the competition so far. Morgan is riding our new ultra compact 4 batten QU4D and it seems to be complementing his style well.

Riders are currently relaxing on Day #2 with competition expected to start in the afternoon as the tide and waves build.

More to follow…
