Steven Van Broeckhoven is ready. He wants to renew his 2012 EFPT title, but there are many windsurfers willing to steal the trophy from his hands. Max Matissek, Julien Mas, Dieter Van der Eyken and many other talented riders will battle for glory, too.
The countdown for the first EFPT event of the 2013 season has been running down fast and after a long and cold winter in Austria, rumors are on that the organizers ordered warm temperatures and strong south wind, from the the weather gods.
Thirty riders will compete in three qualification rounds for a place in the big final, taking place on the 30th of April. A big show for spectators is guaranteed due to the fact that all the rounds will be run at night, around 9pm.
The action will be floodlit by professional light equipment and the windsurfers will be towed behind a jet-ski, at speeds of 30 knots, in excess.
