Benoit Gaudiot accelerates to the 45 knots


Benoît Gaudiot is one of the future promises of speed sailing. A frequent windsurfer and kitesurfer, the French bullet has been training to break records, at the Saintes-Maries de la Mer channel.

At 14 years old, Gaudiot has already broken the 40-knots frontier with a maximum speed of 40.14 knots in windsurfing and 42.34 knots in kiteboarding.

Step by step, his goals getting higher. Gaudiot has raised the speed bar and now he wants to peak at 45 knots before he is 16. The flat waters of Saintes-Maries de la Mer are his training ground for the project "In Search of the Lost Channel".

Benoît Gaudiot is already entering GPS sailing contests and is expected to compete in high-profile speed windsurfing contests in the next years.
