The Butterfly Effect empowers women and girls in sports, health and fitness, and gives back to local charities and communities through service work. It's an international event that started on Maui seven years ago by Tatiana Howard, professional windsurfer and all-around water woman, and is now in 10 different countries. Every "Butterfly" is empowered with more confidence and joy that enhances not only her board riding skills, but also her navigation through everyday life. We create an environment where women learn and practice their sport in a safe, comfortable group setting with other women. We promote health, strength, and well-being, and are committed to ocean awareness and enhancing communities worldwide.

"Water sports have empowered and inspired me to live out my hopes and dreams, and giving back to surf communities is a passion I wish to share with many!"

– Tatiana Howard, Founder, The Butterfly Effect

The Butterfly Effect is a program of Be The Effect Foundation, a Hawaii nonprofit which has started the process to obtain federal 501c(3) tax-exempt status. Come join The Butterfly Effect Maui 2013 and be a part of this growing water-women movement!
