Delphine successful at St. Barth Fun Cup

Delphine Cousin participated in the Saint Barth Fun Cup and achieved great results!

Here is her report:

“I was in St Barth for one month and from 1st to 3rd February I participated in the 2nd edition of the Saint Barth Fun Cup. This competition represents the first international windsurf meeting in 2013 and many pro riders were present this year. On the first two days of the event we had good wind.

On day 1 the wind was around 10-13 knots and I used my JP slalom 80 and NeilPryde Evo V 7,8. We did two races that day. I finished the first one 7th overall (men + women) and 1st amongst women. During the second race the wind was lighter, but that was ok for me, as my gear is performing well in light winds.

On the second day the wind was stronger, but I decided to stay with the big equipment as I expected the wind to go down in the afternoon. We did three races with 12-20 knots. It was really nice, because it was a downwind race between the small islands around St. Barth.

In the end I finished 1st amongst the women, ahead of Sarah-Quitta and Maëlle Guilbaud, and 10th overall (men+women).
I am super happy about this performance. After one month of training I got the confirmation that my training was effective. I have a good speed and my 2013 gear is working great.
It was a wonderful event with a good atmosphere between pros and amateurs, good conditions on the water and cool evenings.

Next year I will for sure be there for the 3rd edition of the Saint Barth Fun Cup!”
