Treble RYA Midlands T15 Regional champions, Pitsford Pirates, narrowly missed out on being named Northamptonshire's top sports team for 2012 at the county's annual sports awards last week.

The Pitsford Reservoir-based outfit finished runners-up to Northamptonshire Combined Events Team for the Team of the Year prize, at the awards at Kettering Conference Centre on Thursday 8 November.

Pitsford Pirates went through to the county awards after winning the district Daventry Team of the Year award for the second year running last month.

Pirate Joe Patrick was on hand to collect Pitsford's runners-up prize at the county awards.
