The fastest female windsurfer in the world is constantly improving her own speed sailing record over 500 metres, in the famous African speed strip.

Unfortunately, the day ended with an injury. Zara Davis was speeding up on the last run of the day, she fell past the finish line.

"It was a great day and I am fine. Will be back for the next session, on Saturday, when I hope to go faster", reveals Davis.

In fact, the British sailor was caught by a gust and hit the mast really hard. Therefore, she had to be taken to hospital for a small surgery: seven stitches near her left eye.

The 13th November has entered the history of windsurfing. Anders Bringdal is the first windsurfer to reach the 50 knots over 500 metres.
