Hot Sails Maui Swedish team rider Markus Rydberg has just completed his first PWA event finishing a respectable 25th and new media house World Wide Windsurfing were keen to speak to him about his past, his experiences and the future."Interview with Markus Rydberg (S-313), Swedish up-and-coming wave talent who participated in his first PWA event during Kia Cold Hawaii.
Despite having its surrounding waters frozen for almost 5 months a year, Sweden has managed to produce some good windsurfing talent in the past…Anders Bringdal, Matthias Holmberg, and most recently Kristoffer Living to name a few.
The latest export from Sweden is Markus Rydberg…a name you might want to remember! World Wide Windsurfing is currently at the Kia Cold Hawaii event in Klitmöller, Denmark, and we took the opportunity to hook up with Markus Rydberg who is participating in his first PWA event. This is a dream come true for the Swedish talent so we wanted to get the scoop of how this experience has been for him.
Hej (as they say in Sweden) Markus! Great to see you and congrats to getting a wildcard to your first PWA event here at Kia Cold Hawaii. It’s 7:30am on Wednesday, Sept 19th (Day 3 of the event) and the Skipper’s meeting has just been held with a continuation of the first elimination just about to start. How do you feel right now?"
