Since its creation Hot Sails Maui has been a keen supporter of Sam Bittner's work with the American Windsurfing Tour. Those who have followed the Tour this year will know that our Sales Manager Chris Freeman has been traveling with a big bag of sails for people to try out and we have been very pleased with the reception that we have received around the country. As well as supporting theAWT financially we have also been donating prizes for the events. Chris was unable to make it to the Cape Hatteras event recently but we are pleased to publish this picture of Richard Schnur who won a brand new 5.3m Firelight C3 (a $765 value and not bad for a weekend!) at the closing party.

The AWT will soon be returning to Ho'okipa for the Tour finale of 2012 and Chris is currently leading the Amateur division and will start the event the favorite to claim the overall title for 2012. During the event we will be hosting an AWT event THE WINDSURF PARTY II following the success of last year's party at the loft, more details will follow...
