"Peru has been on my map for the past years! Not only for it's wave lines of perfections and thousands of km along the cost line of virgen waves but also one of the 7 wonders in the world, with such strong contrast of lands, from dry dessert to tropical palm trees and the biggest attraction world wide, Machupiccu, colture and food are it's strong identification as well!
Oscar and I we have started our trip in Lima surfing a famous left break the first couple of days, Oscar is a good friend from Los Roques Islands in Venezuela, our plan was to head further north to Pacasmayo 10 hours in bus was totally worth it, first morning we arrived with a fresh solid swell and we went straight to the water to surf! the afternoon we sailed basically alone in perfect mast high waves, 2 minute long rides, with amazing hospitality of the Locals at el Faro Hotel and was a great location being very near to the local village 5 minutes away walking distance, it's awesome to see how people live super simple here, we eat fresh sea food everyday, and loved how the locals were super educated and friendly!
After being in Pacasmayo for 3 days the AWT had a stop on there calendar in this awesome venue and Oscar and I decided to participate for fun, the place got super crowded which was not exactly what I came for but still was lots of fun to wave ride with 4 people in the water during the heats! I participated in Long board, SUP and Windsurf! did not do to good in the SUP and Longboard and got 7th in the windsurf and Oscar in 21, traveling with him is super fun and he is always full with positive energy, hard to have a bad time with him! it was his first time ever in the Pacific Ocean & the Caribbean he was the happiest person always with a huge smile on his face!
After Pacasmayo we travelled 6 hours further north to Lobitos and other spots close by, we got thank god the biggest swell of the year which lasted over 5 days! the waves are super agressive here and super shallow with a almost perfect sand bank, with barrels you would not imagine!
I came to document my stay through out my eyes and show the reality of this mystirious land! so I will keep you guys updated with the documentary video I plan to do very soon! still we have another week here in Peru and lot's of beautiful places to visit!
Good waves and best vibes to everyone!" DG
