RS:One: windsurfing in the spotlight

The bronze Olympic medalist from the 2008 Games delivered a stunning performance by winning the night LED race, in front of the men and youth windsurfers, in the city of Cardiff.

The universal RS:One class attracted 30 windsurfers, providing a new, attractive, and dynamic race format: one sail, one board - everyone on the same equipment allowing male and female racers of all ages to compete together.

RS:One is an ISAF-approved windsurfing class and all equipment was supplied by NeilPryde, giving an equal chance to all competitors no matter sex or age.

The Cardiff Bay saw windsurfers racing for glory and prizes inside the Extreme Sailing Series nautical stadium, with thousands of spectators watching the competition in the water.

The Jaguar NeilPryde Racing Series saw two fiercely contested finals, each one held Saturday and Sunday. There were four divisions racing in 3-to-18 knot winds. Alistair Masters won the Super Final

The Jaguar NeilPryde Racing Series will now continue its journey to Torbole (Italy), Nice (France), and Rio (Brazil).
