I am in Torquay next weekend, doing a gig at the Riviera Centre. On the positive side this means I have Saturday morning and sunday, possibly to do some sailing. Have been to Paignton before, well the arcade on the pier actually. Was wondering if anybody has info about good places to sail down there within in easy reach.

If it's flat water you want the Torbay is fine but for some decent sailing you need to travel a bit. It's totally crap in a westerly. Southerly or South Easterly is best.

You're only 45mins from Daymer so that would be my choice. I will be in Dahab by then enjoying the sunshine and wind

If there is any east in the wind try Blackpool sands or Slapton sands just south of Dartmouth. If its south or southwest try Thurlestone Bay or Bantham/Bigbury which are to the west of Kingsbridge.
