Yes Lostboy, I'm an old buffer, albeit young at heart. Bands I have seen include Free (at Dreamland, Margate - 70p), T-Rex (ditto, though maybe £1 by then), The Velvet Underground (fraudulent line-up, early 70s) and quite a few others, like Atomic Rooster (drummer Carl Palmer). The best weren't necessarily the ones you'd expect to be good - Colisseum with Chris Farlow for instance. The Who were superb, if rather loud. They were at a bit of a crossroads, trying to establish "heavy" and "progressive" credibility after years of being a pop group. Pete Townshend has been trying to re-write history ever since. Pointless, as there was never any need.

Right, I'm off to read my Mojo, as Beards hasn't arrived in WH Smiths yet.

Done a drum clinic with Carl Palmer (along with my son as well). Top bloke, but very, very focussed!
