If you are looking for a windsurfing holiday this summer or planning further ahead to escape the good old British winter, then Lagoon Espana’s windsurfing centre on the Costa Brava is a perfect destination.

With wind being a crucial factor then the Costa Brava is a perfect destination. The light morning breezes make it ideal for beginners, with the breeze increasing through the day transforming it into the perfect spot where you can combine improving your skills while having fun on the water.

In the spring and autumn the ‘Tramuntana’ blows from the central mountains producing a cross-shore force 6-8 wind. From June to September the thermal ‘Garbi’ is a reliable wind blowing from midday onwards from the opposite direction.

The Lagoon Espana centre is 100 metres from the waters edge, with all of the equipment already rigged and RYA qualified instructors at hand to help you gain maximum enjoyment of the sport and further your sailing ability. Safety cover and personal tuition are provided for the duration of your visit.

A range of courses are offered by Lagoon Espana to suit all abilities. From our ‘Start Windsurfing’ for beginners, to a three-day ‘Sea Windsurfing’ course and our ‘Get Planing’ coaching.

If you want to windsurf without the coaching then take advantage of our hire and safety package, which also means you don’t need to bring your kit with you on the plane. Prices for this start from just €88 euros for two days.

When the day is over we can organise BBQs and group dinners on and off site throughout the week, plus our staff will always be able to advise you on local places to visit and soak up the wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere.

Other watersports like kitesurfing, catamaran sailing and kayaking can also be enjoyed at this location. And if you fancy some land sports then cycling, go-karting, sky diving and horse riding are all on offer.

Another great advantage of travelling to this area is that you can tie in the windsurfing with some sightseeing, by combining it with a city break in nearby Barcelona.

The cosmopolitan capital of Catalunya exudes vibrancy and Spanish culture. The city is almost impossible to exhaust in terms of things to do both day and night, so your weekend is guaranteed to be packed full of things to do and see.

You can fly really easily and cheaply to Barcelona or Girona from regional airports across the UK. And with a short flight time you can be in the water and having fun in just a few hours. There are plenty of accommodation options available – from tent pitches to apartments and cabins.
